Factory subwoofer

Is there a trick to removing the subwoofer in a 99 D2? I got the pod off of the back door, removed the screws for the sub but it will not come out. Is the sub glued to the housing? Are there some hidden screws somewhere that I may have missed?

In my 95 the speakers had a gasket material around them that was kid of like glue, probably due to the age but with a little influence they came right out.

No hidden screws. It is the one and only place they used noise dampening sealant. Just give a gentle tug. It should pull right out
