Florida sun has really done a number on my arches creating bleached white sucking the dye out of the plastic and tiny blisters closest to the fender. The dealership said it would cost ~$600.00 just to get the replacements and that they would have the same reaction with sun damage. He recommended going to a body shop and having them painted for about $250.00.

I bought some Duplicolor trim paint with a separate adhesive paint (clear). It looked good but did not last too long over time also exposing some of the sanded marks etc. I'm guessing it was thin.

The other day I came across a paint made by Rustoleum for plastic that is 'textured'. It does not require primer. Let me tell you it covered all of the sanded flaws and dried to a nice matte black finish. Practically made the arches look factory new. How long it lasts I don't know but it's advertised for outdoor plastic furniture on the picture. The cost for a 1" and 2" roll of blue painters tape, a roll of 12" painter's paper, a can of Rustoleum paint was about $20.00 or more. It took 2 hours including prep work and dries in one hour.

It's worth it to me even if I have to repaint in the year. Just thought I'd pass it along...
