I"m nearing the completion of my HG change. So far it seems this truck just wants to fight me every step of the way! Arrrg.

Anyway. Last night I pulled the radiator to replace the transmission fluid temp sensor. When I put it all back together I noticed that the fan shroud is loose and flapping around at the bottom on the radiator. I don't remember what holds it in place. is it supposed to slide under the radiator somehow? How does it attach down there?

The bottom of the shroud needs to fit inside a shallow lip just in front of the radiator. Take it out and look down, it should be obvious though there might be a bit of rust/crud in there.

When you pulled the rad did you notice two of these?

They hold the lower part of the shroud at the bottom of the rad. There is also a curved piece of plastic/rubber that the whole rad sits on.
There's a diagram in the rave manual that shows it all. Not the easiest to get all lined up and have the clips stay in place.

AHHH! I didn't see those. I'll take a look. I wonder if they fell off and are on my garage floor!

Thanks!
