OK...my original starter went out ('97 D1 77k) Went to Autozone and got a rebuild....I am now on my 3rd starter from them and am tired of it crapping out. Would like to get some feedback from anyone running a mean green. Thanks- Sean

How about buying a brand new one from the dealer? We don't go through many, and change none twice. They're probably less than autozone.

i have a Mean Green and have had no issues with it. i would stay away from crap starters at AutoZone and Advance Auto Parts.
i also sell Mean Greens and have not heard any complaints yet. the sound of the gear reduction starters alone is pretty cool. :)
they are a little easier to intall too, since they are a bit smaller than the stock units.

I have both MG starter and alternator for five years now and still going strong.
