First Drive?

63 Ford Falcon Convertible on dad's lap.

Learned to drive on a 62 Ford Ranchero 3 on the tree.

Second car was a 68 Bronco with a 3 on the tree.

first car I actually drove was the car my Uncle had planned to give me when I was old enough to legally drive.

it was an old Renault 4CV with a canvas roof - pic shows what they looked like.

mine was red with white.

too many years ago to remember exact age, yet, somewhere around 10-12.

couldn't wait to turm 16 and get it on the road.

until then drove it on the fields.

like many others owned in the past, it would be very cool to have now.

I was 11. My father and I were coming out of a field and he told me to drive. I hopped in the drivers seat of his 1993 Izuzu Trooper and drove it about 7 mph. I was scared shitless because it was my dad's truck and I was afraid I'd wreck it.

A field is a good place, just put the vehicle in low range so they can't get it up to 50 mph and then do a barrel roll into a pit or something stupid like that.

BTW, that Izuzu Trooper was an awesome truck. They can't be modified worth a crap but in stock form they are stout and reliable.

Must have been 11-12 it was a 88 MB 190E 2.6, went up and down the dead end road my house is on. Still wish we had it, I want to get another one, just to drive around in.

started doing WW2 reenactments 13 got drive 1941 willies slat grill jeep, dodge power wagon, vietnam deuce and a half.
