April 1, 2015. South Holston River (just east of Bristol, TN).

First fish of the year. I caught about 7 (7-8" size) in a little over 2 hours.

I haven't been flyfishing in 6 years. It was nice to get back out.

S. Holston is on my bucket list. Teaching my son to fly fish. Missed a nice rainbow.
We're going out again tomorrow and Friday.

The guys building my garage went fishing a few weeks ago at my place. The guy had never been trout fishing before. Ever. And pulls out two.

Beginners luck.

Me? #22 midges. Gold head, green body.

Honestly, I can't believe the fish actual saw them (the water was crystal clear though).

Edit: Sulfurs should start coming in the next couple of weeks.

Caught a ton of recently stocked browns last night, no more than 14".

Had a little luck in NY last weekend

I'm looking to get into fly fishing this summer... Next time I'm in Bristol we need to grab a beer.
