Fixing the sunroofs for good-is there a way?

As I read the threads about Disco's I've noticed a common source of trouble is the sunroofs. My DI has them and I'd like to know if there is a way to deal with them so I don't have to worry about them. Can they be disconnected and sealed or is that just not possible?

You could use windshield adhesive, it would pretty much be permanent.

Omitting the roof controls would also open up some good space to put a nav screen or radio or remote rocket launcher trigger!
