Florida saltwater Fishing

So anybody reeling anything in? i was down in Miami fishing off shore last weekend, went out of haulover canal and caught a nice 22'' 12lb Mutton Snapper,(has to be one of the tastiest fish i have ever eaten) 16'' mangrove snapper and some spanishh mackrel off a reef in 20' of water, we went for dolphin in deep water but didnt have any luck. So tonight we are going to Ponce inlet and running down the river to do some Trout fishing, Two weeks ago we hit a nice school of large trout, so we are going back. Its a lil warm during the day, so the night fishing is the way to go IMHO, Sunday gonna do a trail ride to the springs in the Ocala Forest for a lil swimming and 4 wheelin, oh yea, rest assure the tackle is going with me. Summer is here! anybody else catching anything? besides a buzzzz.

I went a few years ago and had a wonderful time fishing in the Keys. We went deep sea fishing a few days and caught some 50lb. amberjacks, a ton of 15-20lb. dolphins (the fish not the mammal), assorted snappers and groupers, and the prize: 200+lb. marlin.

Then we spent a couple days flats fishing. We hooked into some 100lb. tarpon, but never landed any. They are unbelievable! We also caught some bonefish and small shark.

What a blast!

I got a 60lb lemon shark a couple months ago off Ft. Lauderdale.

Ive been dyin to go back but have been too busy with school. unfortunatly my dad is also too busy so were sellin our boat for now.

i know that shark was a chore to reel in, and thats as close as i would want to be to those chomping jaws. I went out trout fishing Friday night and caught 6 keepers 1-16, 2-18, 2-20 and a biggun at 23.5 we fished the out going tide untill it went slack, got home about 4.00am. it was a good night, we had a great trout dinner Saturday night, and so did most of my freinds,family and neighbors.

Any of you guys used to be on the WorldWideAngler.com forums before it went belly-up? I was the Senior Developer there. Was the best time of my life. Got me hooked on Saltwater fly-fishing something fierce. I haven't been able to get a line wet in Florida for quite some time but occasionally head out on the Chesapeake for some Striper action.

Steve , have you heard anything about the Cobia bite down in cape Charles ? I cant get any good info up here..
