flush needed for loss of coolant?

I sprung a coolant hose leak a week ago, and while trying to diagnose it, lost a fair amount of coolant. It went from having some in the resovoir to very little to none, so probably about 3- 5 liters I’d assume. Someone told me I need to flush the entire system for this. Is this true?

I think the orange stuff builds up trash when exposed to air, but if you are running green just top it off

Your going to need to bleed the system again to remove air bottles that will cause overheating.

You only need to flush if you are changing coolants aka colors... Top off and go... But there are cheap testers to see if the coolant you have is good or not

Thanks for the response, I appreciate it. Do you know how to remove those visa E hose clamps that are found on some of the coolant hoses? I’ve tried a screw driver but nothing gives.
