Flushing the block

Since the radiator is in the shop being rebuilt today, I thought I'd flush the coolant from the block, replace all the hoses and the thermostat. How do I get all of the coolant out?

there are drain plugs on the block in the middle on both sides close to the oil pan, they are a pia to get out but can be done.
no big deal refilling oil and transmission fluid you wont lose much.
oh yea and your power steering lines from the other threads, should actually be 3 of them high pressure, low pressure and return, no dont cut them and band aid, replace them some places sell the hoses as a kit. check the vendors page under resources
