Happy Christmas All !!!!!!

I have a 96 Disco I, very generic.

At the salvage yard I found a Disco I that had the fold-down seat in the boot. It had already been removed so the attaching hardware was missing and worst of all I couldn't see how it was attached because they had taken just about everything in the area out already.

Does anyone know how to install the seat without the air conditioning system?
I don't want to butcher up the paneling so I need some advice.

TNX,
Roy :victory:

Actually, the fold-down seats in the back aren't too bad. I sat in one for 2.5 hours once. The turns come very scary from that perch, though.

I meant from a safety standpoint I wouldn't put anybody I care about in the D1 jumpseats.

Why? For most practical purposes, these are safer than sitting in the backseat of a taxicab without a seat belt. And you aren't likely to carry 7 adults in a D1 across Rubicon trail or the like.

My favorite purpose of these is a 5-minute group ride to the bar in the mountain ski area with one designated driver (or decoy).

Today I am going to try to see what is behind the panel. Hopefully it will be obvious how the seat is attached.
