Regretfully the time has come to sell my 1996 LR Discovery SD.
The specifics are:
- 1996 LR Discovery SD
- Black
- 5 speed manual transmission
- Cloth Seats
- 6-disc CD changer
The vehicle was in process of being modified into a trail rig. The upgrades are:
- Rovertym 3" lift
- Rovertym rear Bottom Links
- Rovertym Radius Arms
- Rovertym rear cones and shock mounts
- Rancho RS9000 shocks
- 265/75 R16 Goodyear MT/R with significant tread life remaining - including spare
- American Racing steel wheels - including spare
- GBR rear drive shaft
- Tom Woods front drive shaft
- K&N Air Filter
- Optima red top battery
- Magnecor 7mm plug wires
- Steel braided brake lines (front not installed but included)
- Sway bars removed and not available to incude with the sale
The truck runs increadibly strong but there are a few known issues with the truck that should be mentioned:
- The steering box is slightly sloppy and has a slow leak. New P.S. hoses included.
- The vehicle hesitates occasionally which I believe is a result of a bad VSP. It is not due to a misfire.
- The thermostat is stuck open and needs to be replaced (takes a long time to warm up on cold mornings) New thermostat included.
- There are a few "character marks" on the truck from off-road use.
There are slightly more than 100K miles on the vehicle and it has been 100% reliable since it was purchased. The vehicle has been well maintained and lubricated with Mobile 1.
The truck has been an awesome vehicle and I regret to see it go. I simply do not have enough time and motivation to complete the project. This vehicle would be perfect start for someone looking to build a very compentent trail rig.
The vehicle is located near Boulder Colorado.
Asking $5000 but I will work with potential buyers to find a good home for my Land Rover.
