Couldn't get the drain plug out of my R380 trans. Got a long handled wrench, no luck. Beat it with a hammer, wouldn't budge. I finally ran my winch down under the bumper, put the wrench on, then hooked the winch hook over the fork on the other end of the wrench, hit the in button a few times, loosened it right up. I can't fathom why people tighten shit up so much (wasn't me who did the last change). Anyway there's the creative thinking for the day.

Wow, and you heard no 'beep beep' and nothing labeled 'Acme' appeared nearby? Congratulations on avoiding cartoon physics.

There was a guy on here a few years ago that used his winch to pull his centering peg out of the rear diff. He ran out some rope, hooked it to a snatch block, and then to the centering peg. That was classic!

I wish I had thought of that. I tried doing the bolt and the pull. Now there's a broken bolt in the peg. Time to get out the sawzall!!
