help... i know that my modulator's shot causing the three amigos to appear but today when i started it up they appeared with the red tranny temp light, after it had been sitting for awhile... i drove it like 4 miles to see if the light would go off, let it sit for a couple of hours, and drove it home... the light never went out. is there any way to check the tranny fluid or something?

Not on the D2. I'd get your tranny looked at. As for the ABS bs, get lockers and forget about it.

its not an angry hot tranny light.

your Tranny got Hot and Bothered and turned on her Red Light. Listen to the Roxaine song to understand how to read the ECU code.

I don't know where the trans fluid temp sensor is on a D2 but on a D1 it's on the lower cooler line right by the radiator. See if you can track down that little sensor and check it out, that may be what is giving you your hot flashes.

The Trans Temp Sensor Is On The Cooler. Under The P/s Front Wheel Well Removed The Plastic Trim And You Can Get Access To The Bottom Of The Cooler And Sensor From There It Is Not Un Common For Those To Go Bad!

If You Want You Can Always Remove The Whole Radiator Assembly But That Just Isnt Worth It.

Before You Remove The Sensor Though See If It Is Plugged In Ive Seen Few Come Unplugged. Its Near The Battery Box (looking At Battery Slightly Off To Right In Front Of Box)

Good Luck

There are two sensors on the DII for the tranny temp. One on the tranny, I think on the lower left and one up on the radiator upper passenger side. These sensors go bad all the time. If I'm not mistaken the '04 did away with them, not sure. I got tired of them going bad and just disconnected mine a long time ago. I've had no problems either.

Cheers,

Mike

the genius design of this transmission doesn't have a dipstick. To fill there is a plug on front.

Do a search here for the procedure for a drain and fill.
