The KV6 engine was also used in early Kia minivans sold in this country.

If you want to put a diesel in get the engine and gearbox out of a TD4 Freelander. Its a BMW unit. 112hp (as many as the 300tdi disco) and 160ftlbs torque.

Just have to order the complete unit from the UK.....

The freelander is a great vehicle...when you're saving the miles for the other rover.

Regardless what you are using it for, the Freelanders were and are pieces of shit. There is no way to debate otherwise.

It was Land Rovers version of Pontiac's Fiero. Something only a few middle aged balding men with poor social skills and still living in their mothers basement will cling on to.

I'd agree to that statement as far as Freelanders in the US. There are an insane amount of them over here. But I've decided I won't be caught alive in one.

Oh I know the folks in Europe bought them up like Momma Cass ate Ding Dongs and the diesel might have helped the cause a little, but they were a disgrace to the Queen.

You in the UK now? I'm headed to Dublin/London/Cotswolds on Tuesday for a week.

And we all know what happened to Mama Cass.

Yeah. I'm in Cambridge if you come out this way lemme know. Best pub in Cambridge is 4 houses down from my place.

But yes, they are a disgrace. The lack of low range makes it the biggest loser.

Would you mind hooking me up with some parts over there? Are you close to Dingocroft?
