I have gotten both. My problem with the superwinches is that they stick out about a 1/2 inch more than the Faireys. Damn things are like pokers they stick out. But other than that they look totally blingin'.

I do believe the milemarkers do not stick out as much. They are probably just as good.

If you have 10 spline front axles, I have a pair of brand new Milemarker hubs I am trying to sell off. I bought them then realized that I had 24 spline outers :banghead: . I can make you a deal, if you are interested. They are brand new, with instructions and all hardware.

Thanks, Max!

As far as the superwinch sticking out, I'm not as concerned about that. I have the modular wheels from the UK that extend an inch beyond stock. On the trail, I'm sure stock wheels and these hubs are a nuisance.

As far as reliability, would you say they are similar? I mean, does either one have a high failure rate? Not that I'll be beating the shit out of 'em.

I'm asking everyone because I'd like to minimize the chances of being stuck with a busted hub in the middle of BFE. I'd rather pay more if I'm getting a better, beefier design. I take that back, if I get a better, beefier design, and it cost less, then I'll be really pleased.

Send me an email with your contact info.

Reliability of hubs in non-locked axles all seem to be excellent. No problems at all. I've beat up my Faireys on the trail with no problems.

I did my homework and it seems like no one has had any trouble with FWH on a non-locked front axle. I would have gone with milemarkers to replace my busted fairey (died because I wacked it against a rock) but the shop I was ordering from couldn't get me the milemarkers in time for my Tellico trip. Hence why I went with superwinch.

Leslie,

I plan to use the Series to commute to work about 25% of the time. Hence, the roll bar, FWH, Defender seats. All I need is power steering/brakes.

Max, PM sent.
