Front Bumpers that Work on 99 D2

This is an easy one for anyone who knows something about a Disco... obviously not me... I'm new here... I've owned mine for well only a few months...

My D2 fell in love with a Ford Excursion that was parked in front of us and well, before I could stop him, the front bumper cover was broken.

I hate to buy a new one, if I did that, I might as well buy a better bumper/winch configuration. So, I'm looking in the used market first.

I have the fog lights and the head light sprayers and my question is, do I have to look for just a 99 or are there other years I can look at, I found a 04, will that one work?

I think you can mount the sprayers on any bumper. I thought about drilling my Rovertym bumper to put the on but I decided to plug the hole on the washer resevior instead.

04 will work on a D2

TJM bumper has holes for the washers

ARB may, im not sure

The others do not, but im sure can be easily modified.... I never had the sprayers and really cant think of a reason to have them... dirty headlights have never been an issue for me, even when they are caked with mud.

Well, I got the skinny from the mechanic and he's the man who would know.

Anyway the 04 has a different light configuration and a different mount, so the stock bumper would need moded. So, twisting my arm, I think I'm gonna get something with a winch, because you always need one of those.

Oh yeah, I meant an 04 AFTERMARKET bumper will work on a 99... The regular bumper will mount up, but I believe you ened different headlight finishers and a different grill perhaps to make it fit properly

I'm Thinking any DII bumper from 99-02. I think the lights and stuff changed in 03.

99-02 stock bumper covers will fit. Aftermarket bumpers should be the same 99-04.
RTE, TJM and ARB are the most common.

Do you know or are you saying that a 2003-2204 TJM winch/bull bar would/can fit a 2001 DII? Wondering because I'd like to have the driving lights that TJM offers on the 2003-2004 model bumpers.

The only reason it is an "03/04" bumper is because it has holes for the factory foglights. You could buy that bumper that has the foglight holes and put it on your 2001 and buy some 03/04 foglights for it.

I have an '04 factory bumper on my '00. Looks much better. You will need an '03 or '04 grill, though. The '04 grill is shorter than the older ones. Everything bolts right up without any mods. Oh and the '04 fog lights are so much better.
