Front light question

All:

The little orange lights in the front quarter bumperettes don't come on whatever I do- headlights on, turn signals, or hazards. Replaced the bulbs but no dice on either one. Are they supposed to work as turn signals? The other turn signals (on the fender & front corner) work. What are they for, and is there a common fault/fix?

I've found those sockets seem to foul and/or seemingly dissolve. Currently, 2 of mine work but I'm considering pulling them all. They're just running lights.
