Front Output Seal - Transfer Case

I seem to be losing my transfer case fluid via the front output seal. It drips down as if its coming from the U Joint on the front driveshaft.

Just curious if having a TW driveshft put in a week prior to the leak would be a cause.....? That and well, went out all day Saturday wheeling ;)

And if so, would a replacement seal be as likely to fail?

Anyone replace this seal themselves via the RAVE manual? Seems pretty simple, remove front driveshaft and flange, bend seal (via tech article), pull out, and replace....

its very easy to seal

leaks after wheeling can be as simple as a weed or vine wrapping around and disturbing the seal.

not likely to be related to the shaft change IMHO
