Front window inop, where is the problem?

For a while my front passenger window has been inoperable. The regulator broke (plastic washer exploded, as usual) and I thought that was the extent of the situation. I replaced the regulator (by way of replacing the entire door, long story) and now the window still doesn't work. All other electrics going to the door work: speaker, lock, mirror.

I press the switch on my console and there is no sound, no attempt made at all on the part of the window to move. Assuming the regulator works (it worked on the donor truck), where are the remaining likely culprits? Console switch? Is there a relay that might have crapped out?

Also, when replacing the door, I found a plug behind the panel in the footwell that was disconnected. It is a red plug, I couldn't see any other electrical parts in the space that looked like the other half of the connection. Any ideas of what this is?

My driver's window became stuck in the down position. I unplugged the switch in the console and plugged it into one of the other switches and it worked. Hopefully it's that easy for you.

Resuming the process of elimination, I picked up a couple spare switches and swapped those in. No luck. There was a clicking noise from the passenger footwell, so that's my next area to investigate.

What's there that is causing the noise? I pulled the trim panel that's behind the fender/in front of the passenger door and checked all the connections to the door- they are fine. There is a red plug back there not connected to anything. What is that and should it be plugged into something?

One day mine stopped working and I tracked it down to a broken wire between the door and the jamb. It was the only wire in there that was messed up. Took about 5 minutes to fix once I figured it out.
