Testing the waters -- I don't want to see it go, but a change in life situation seems to say otherwise.

Well maintained 1994 DI, in good daily driver condition, with full service records over the last four years I've owned it down to every last tank of fuel. Off the top of my head:
  • New tie rod ends/drag link; steering nice and tight
  • New calipers, rotors, and pads all around, including upgrade to the D90 setup up front
  • New swivel ball seals
  • (5) New General Grabbers in 245/75, including matching spare, very light miles
  • Headliner replaced
  • Interior in generally good condition, with front seat bottoms the typical point of wear; no dash curl
  • Sunroofs tight and functional
  • Minor typical rover fluid leaks, but nothing requiring attention between service
  • Remote entry key fob still around!
  • New battery
  • EDIT: 136k on the clock
It does have a few spots of rust that I was intending to hit with the sandblaster (small bit in the typical corner of the rear door jambs, the sill by the rear bumper), but otherwise solid, with one minor crease in the rear passenger quarter panel from the previous owner. Cruise control is intermittent, but everything else is good to go including the AC (still very cold). I've done everything with the intent of keeping it for a long time, but I needed a better long-distance vehicle, so I need to make room.

It's a pre-1996, so it's very simple to work on with minimal electronics, which was great for a daily driver (and also for those other states with pesky emissions checks...) It's not perfect, but quite solid for a '94 -- given that it's functionally well sorted with a new set of shoes, I'm asking $2400, all offers accepted.

It's amazing to think that we'll soon have 20 year old D1's out there on the road & trail. Kudos to this seller for maintaining a nice '94. The simple fact that he's bothered to replace the headliner tells you that this is a well cared for machine.

Apologies for any delays, as out of town for a week for work...back now, and should be able to post some more pics up soon. For the question above, it's an auto.

(And yes, the headliner is a good indicator that my intentions were to keep it for some time, especially as it's on the edge of 'collector' status in WI...but life sometimes has other plans.)
