I had a 95 D1 sold it and now I have a 04 D2. I was able to get a real good deal on it because it has a few very minor issues.

1. SLS wont stay inflated (no biggie already bought the parts to go to coils)
2. Two door locks arent working properly.

3. Fuel door is wierd.

I got it to the gas station and popped the fuel door and put in my fuel. Tried to shut it but it is missing something. All I have is a little stub that works off the actuator and then the piece of metal off the fuel door. The stub goes into the slot in the piece of metal protruding off the door. I know this isnt right and I also noticed that Atlantic British has a weird sort of plastic or rubber piece that attaches to it but I want to make sure I get the right part, then just go to a Stealership and just buy one.

Anyone have a picture of the whole fuel door area while its opened? I could post a pic of what I have on mine.

You need the fuel door clip ( PN BPX700010G from Atlantic British). By the time you pay shipping, it might be just as cheap to buy it from the dealer.

You just bought it and giving up on the air already ?

REF the fuel door catch, I would buy a couple as they can even break just pushing the new one into the panel.

Two blown airbags, yeah I am giving up on the SLS. My wife thought it was a bad move to buy it with the airbag issues but I was able to talk them down big time on the airbags, door locks, and fuel door.

I already bought the coils and will inspect the two door actuators to see if I can repair them without having to replace them.

I saved a couple of thousand dollars because of the airbags, actuators, and fuel door. When I am done I will have spent 500.00 max and that is if I have to buy two new locks.

Screw that fuel door latch. I have bought so many of those damn clips over the years. What I did was bought these at work (Lowes). Then I took two of them, stacked them and placed them underneath the upper rubber standoff inside the fuel filler area.

It is easy to open and cant wear out. If you loose them the pack at Lowes has 8 magnets so you have 4 chances for around 2 bucks. I am cheap I guess.

Cheap, or frustrated? I was so sick and tired of messing with that stupid clip that I simply took the whole door off. If I ever put it back on there, I'll be coming up with a new way to latch it.

Cheers,

You might want to try Motorcars LTD on Josey and Keller Springs. They should have the latch that you are looking for.
What color D2 did you get? I just wonder if I have seen it around town.
Edit: nevermind on the Motorcars. I see from your airbag post that you have been there before.

I havent been their yet!

My D2 is black but I am not driving it till my springs get in. The air bags fill up part way and then you hear a hissing sound from the lower portion of the bag and it deflates. The other bag goes down to sitting on the bump stop within 2 hours.

You might want to try them for the latch if the plastic piece is broken off. Mine messed up after the first few months of owning the 04 but the latch was not broken more like a defective wife. She would slam the fuel door closed and it bent the latch backwards so it would not catch.
I used to have a house over in the Savoy Ranch area. We bought just north of Trinity Medical about 4 years ago and finally decided to sell the Carrollton house last year. The wife still works at the pharmacy in that area so I am there from time to time. Silver 04D2 with rack, arb, and a lift.

I am in the new apartments off of Keller Springs and Marsh. We have lived here for 3 years and are doing one more, then moving to Frisco.
