In my '94 D1, the fuel gauge seems to be stuck at 1/4, and it stays at this level even with the ignition off. Am I right in guessing that this is likely a problem with the gauge itself, rather than the sender in the tank?
It sure does. I would expect both the fuel and coolant temperature needles to rest at the bottom of the gauges when they're disconnected, but I feel significant resistance when moving the fuel gauge needle my my finger (and it remains wherever I place it.) Time to try a spare gauge that I have from a RRC.
