Even with a city/highway mix, you should be in the 240-250 range. What octane of fuel are you running? It does make a difference.

90 is the highest octane they have in Anchorage...

I rarely put hwy miles on it. 285/60/18 Nittos A/T... winch bumper, roof rack, 4.6L.

200 miles per tank, max. Highway, different story... Apprx. 230-250

i get 200 miles per tank on my 95chevy blazer. my fuel gauage is out of whack and it's not worth fixing. it'll go a good bit past F when i fill it up and be close to empty with it a 1/4 tank reading. it's a 20 gallon tank and i usually fill up with 3 gallons left. so i usually get around 11 mpg. funny thing is is when i go to auburn (~200mile round trip) i usually end up being able to go 280-300 out of a tank. so i'm happy with that. i know it's not a disco, but i felt like pitching in. just a few more months and i'll have the car of my dreams.

I'm only on my third full tank since purchasing my DII ~six weeks ago. The first tank is the only one I remember because of how close I was to running out of gas. I pulled in with 224.6 miles, so I figure 225 max on a tank. I have been using premium gas, as well as the previous owner. About 95% of my driving is city (San Francisco, lots of hills) so I'm at the extreme end it looks. I just got off the phone with the previous owner and he thinks he was getting maybe 250-275 on a tank. He lives in the East Bay in a more suburban and highway driving situation.

Any suggestions on trying to get a little more mpg out of the DII? I believe spark plugs and cables were replaced about a year ago, it has 80,500 miles.

my 97 5 speed gets 17 with a known bad o2 sensor.

95 with fresh engine was getting 240 and dropped to 200. I replaced the leaking tank vent line and confirmed the injectors were leaking badly, replaced those a few days ago and the remaining 1/4 tank of gas that was in it seems to be lasting much longer than normal.

First, my D2's fuel gauge is a bit strange, and the amber warning light comes on roughly after using up about 20 - 21 gallons, while I belive the gas tank capacity is 25 gal.

That said, with 80/20 hwy/city driving gently, I get 300 - 310 miles with mid-grade until the amber light comes on, and I fill till the pump automatically shuts off, which is roughly 20+ gallons. At $3.45/gal as of 11/6/07, things are beginning to add up.

I get roughly 300 miles to the tank. When I got this truck in April I was using 87 octane and was getting around the same. Last month I started using 91 octane and getting the same.

Starting today I started using 89 octane and will continue because of the gas prices unless anyone can explain why it would be more benifical to use the 91. Gas in OKC was 3.07 today for 87 octane! I purchased 89 at Tinker AFB for 3.10.

some where from 440 -500 km (275 - 312 miles) on a stock 95 disco 5 speed, and a good mix of highway (70-80mph) and city driving

Just took an accurate mpg calculation... 8.98 :ack:

Horrible. WTF? I've got a 4.6L with the D&D cam kit, 2" Old Man Emu coils and susp., winch bumper, roof rack, and I'm running Nitto Terra Grappler A/T 285/60/18... a lot of new stuff under the hood within the last year, including new 02 sensors (all 4) and re-manned injectors.

Anybody else getting this bad of mileage per gallon? What could be causing it? :banghead:

EDIT: My MAF is new as well...

I never let it get below 1/4 tank, so I'm filling up about 200-210. I have never seen the low fuel light, so i don't even know if it works.

MPG wise, i get anywhere from 14-17mpg when I was stock. Running 2 inch lift and 235/85's, but haven't been driving enough to get numbers yet. Best MPG i got was 20 on the highway. Worst was about 9MPG driving angry.
