Fuel tank recall B156

veh. VIN range :

classics PA637653 SA662245
DISCO 1 RA072463 TA199999
TA500000 VA546039
VA700000 VA714242

Please have less then 1/4 tank full, as the garage doesn't have a place to store fuel. Also please have the trunk of the vehicle empty, as they need access to the fuel pump which is located under the carpetting in the trunk.
The dealership will need your car probably for 1 full day. The recall is only performed by the dealerships so you should contact them. In my area for instance this affects probably 500 cars.

The reason for this recall is that the plasic welds may leak fuel. If you have registered your car with Land Rover USA then it might be that you will receive an official letter from them telling about this recall.

Yeah I got three letters yesterday... I've never taken my truck to the dealer and never thought I would..but I think I will just to see the looks I get when they see the rig.. :D

Just got my truck back yesterday. The dealer agreed to install a new fuel pump for parts plus $0.00 labour while performing the recall. :D

Seems they decided to change the fuel filter while there and added it to the bill.

Disputed that one and they agreed I didn't ask for it and so didn't have to pay for it.

Two thumbs up for LR Calgary.

This explains my poor gass milage. I guess I have been leaking fuel out the tank and never been able to get more than 300 miles to one tank of gas.

Jokes aside, thanks for the info, I'll call them on monday. I'm sure they are going to be excited to see me.
