DAP is having a contest about guessing what they changed on a 04 G4 (photo only, not the actual G4 thank god). First prize is a Land Rover Stainless BBQ set. Second prize is a set of four Land Rover coffee mugs.

Well, I found 18 things -- but that includes the blue sticker on the windshield and the DAP LLC license plate. Neither of them are original, so I included them!

I'll invite all of you over to use my BBQ set if you want. We'll sip wine and listen to opera and say things like, "Bloody" or "Knackers!"

i searched G4 discovery and found several different variants in the LR literature. Some with and some without winch plate or a frame. some with some without fogs. some with some without headlight guards.

Actually, that was kind of fun. There are a LOT of changes. Very tricky! I counted 15 (or 16)... The adventure rack was still an option, even on the G4, so the rack that is on there is correct.

All it is, is a marketing scheme. They want your name, address and phone number so Steve boy can bug the shit out of you with useless catalogs and phones calls; maybe even junk e-mail - much like JC Whitney. Pretty lame, but sounds about right for DAP.

I specifically stated that the rack was an option when I made my entry.

Anyone pick up on the hood black out?

How about the backwards stripe?

How about the fact that some early models at least had no tinted windows?
