You can see quite clearly that only one wheel was spinning. It might not have helped, but the idiot obviously has no idea how to actuate the lockers or he might not even know the existence of the lockers.

The Gwagon is fine, it just needs a driver update.
Yes. Not only that, all the other sideline drviers and thier kick ass trucks didn't have a winch?
I've been stuck worse then that. I guess Rovers suck.

some of them also were not smart in trying to tow him backing up, they should have straped up like the last guy and have a kenetic strap and jerk his ass out:D

Ive wheeled with gwagons and they dont suck... a stock truck with three lockable diffs are awesome...

the only thing that they suck at is, articulation... their suspension tend to be a lot stiffer then Disco, but having lockers way over compensates for the lack of articulation...

this video is proof positive that Driver knowledge makes up a huge part of wheeling

4 and a half houres could have been used to get the shovel out and trench him out with grass as a traction surface. I also agree that the only good recovery attempt was the big ass jeep at the end. Naturally, it worked.

The Gwagen is a fine vehicle. Not my personal taste, but a fine vehicle. They are built very well, and extremely capable stock. What you have here is a driver who needs a bit of training and experience, paired with NC snotty, clay-filled, tire clogging mud and what appear to be road oriented tires. You can stick anything in a few inches of that stuff if you try hard enough.

Cheers,

Kennith

See....if they would have sent a Landy in...they would not have been there for 4 hours.

I so would have loved to see the Jeep drive away with nothing but a bumper!

x2 on the Driver Change.

Your right about the driver, I wish i had seen it when he got stuck. I have been through harder stuff at ligon in my stock D2 and only got stuck once.

But after 4 1/2 hours they probably could have dug it out.

Are the new G's as good as the old ones?

Only if the hypothetical Landy driver knew how to execute a proper recovery and had the necessary equipment. It has little to do with the vehicle itself.

Yeah, but then you're probably not a rich dumbass that has no idea what it takes to drop that kind of dough on a vehicle!

Ha thats what i was thinking, but i guess its relative to how much money you make, or in this case how much money your parents make! I cant imagine paying 70 or 80 grand on a truck.

Haha how do you know him? Well I guess there aren't many kids driving $80,000 Mercedes around, although my sister has a friend in college who has a black one. She also has a friend where everyone in their family has a Range Rover or Range Rover Sport (mom, dad, 20 year old girl, 18 year old boy)

Anyways thats Old New England Money for you.

Anyways the G500 is an excellent car. More locking diffs standard than any stock rover has.
