I didnt know that they made these? is this an event vehicle and why isn't it tangiers?

They were used for the Nevada Passage trip in the US....that is the extent of my knowledge though!

I think they were also going to use them for Trek2008, but it was canceled.

Customer of mine just bought one of those. They seem to be trading around the $50k mark on Ebay. His was reportedly one of the Media cars, wasn't actually used in the competition, but judging by the amount of sand in the access panel over the tow hitch/ recovery hook, it was near a desert.

LOL. A Warn 9.5 with steel line, an open hook and mounted on the ground no less! Worth about $600, but $4300 sounds fair.

Yeah they told me any tire besides Pirelli Scorpion ST would void my warranty on my P38. For anyone who has owned those tires they suck and are the worse tires i have ever owned. I almost fell over when i saw $4300 winch. That is comical. It is a sick car though.

Some of the dealer service people are such total shitheads...I had nittos on an lr3 a few years back and when the steering column FELL APART, they tried to say is was the tires. I almost punched him in the face just for thinking it was ok saying such shit.

The three bolts that connect the upper steering section to the shaft that continues through the firewall, sheered. Interestingly this was the week following a sister dealership having the car for a week before I bought it. The gm took it to a soccer game with the "teenagers" in the back, I'd seen the car prior to this event, it returned with cool-aid stains and the steering issue.

Needless to say, it was fixed and I sold it to them not knowing what else had happened.

LRNA was behind the 8 ball regarding the '09 G4 Challenege. They needed a try out event to fill the need for the US representatives to the G4. Rather than fielding contestants themselves, they piggy backed on the Nevada Passage and found themselves without Tangiers painted LR3's. Had they planned better they coud've gotten the factory to pump out the LR3's in Tangiers. That price is way over the top for a factory LR3 with a ton of stickers. I called the guy at the TX dealership and he told me only 4 of the 10 vehicles were used in the Nevada passage and his was one of the ones not used. I sent him a picture of all 10 being used and he has yet to respond. There was one that was painted in Tangiers and I think it is still in the NJ area.
