Gaps in door seals

I have noticed there are gaps in the door seals at the base on all 4 passenger doors on my 04 Diso that let water in during deep water crossings. Does anyone know of a remedy for these seals either to close them, or to temporarily block water entry? I had a tarp over the radiator to create a bow wave during the water crossing but I ended up with water sneaking in through the gaps in the bottom door seals, and some wet carpets!

Thanks.

The door seals are hollow. Use a soft tube that you can stuff into both sides of the gap. In the OEM world, a piece of cylindrical sponge is used, but sponge isn't what will stop water.

If you can find an appropriate diameter soft rubber hose to fit into the door seals, it should stop the water from coming in, and you should still be able to close your door.

Worth a try.

That's actually the factory-mandated service action for wind noise in Disco door seals, so it WILL work. They use common vacuum hose inserted thru a small slit or hole in the hollow section.
