General estimate for a clutch job?

I am in need of a getting a new clutch on my 96 D1 5-spd. I was hoping to hold-out until mid-Spring when I could do the job myself, but I don't think I can last through the winter. Does anyone know the approximate cost I should be looking at to have a new clutch put in? Thanks!

Hmm sounds like you should call some shops to get quotes... If they cant give you a price quote over the phone dont take your vehicle there. Find a good indy rover shop if you can there are a few out there that arent out to rape you completely.

Recently there has been a lot of...... am I getting screwed and paying more than I should to do work I could probably do type threads... If you haven't already set aside a pretty penny if you plan to have somebody else to do the work
