Tell me what kind of Gin would you all suggest, I am talking around $30 a bottle. I do like Tanqueray Ten and Van Gogh as of late. What else would you suggest?

Van Gogh is VERY nice. The best IMHO, no mixer needed, just a couple rocks.

For old school, try Boodles.

Bombay Sahpire store it in the freezer. Right before drinking put ice in a martini glass and put it in the freezer for 5 minutes. Then dump the ice, pour in the gin, and enjoy.

So the Saphire eh? I have no freezer in my fridge so I could not freeze it. Personally I love Gin and Tonic, oh soooo tasty! Martini's are also tasty, I had one a while back with Bombay Saphire I really enjoyed that one.

Anything else? I have had Hendrex, that was pretty good. I am just new to the Gin world, I guess I found my new love.

Andy you must know my father  ...I grew up with Bombay in the freezer. Gin and Tonic was the favorite around our house. That was the first drink I was ever taught to make.

I didn't know we where related. :D

A bad habit a friend of mine got into out here was taking Bombay and filling it into metal flask. Then put it in the outside of your ski jacket and go for a day skiing in the resorts out here. Gets as cold as the freezer and warms you up on the lift on the way up. ;)

The really bad thing was one night last winter we went skiing at Brighton for it's 4 hours of night skiing. My buddy had a flask of bombay, another buddy had Dewars scotch, and I had Teton Glacer Vodka. Needless to say our skiing/boarding performance really suffered and none of us could drive at the end of the night. But no one felt any of the falls. The next day I was so hung over, very sore and I think I learned a lesson that night.

I'll tell you what though, if you guys really like that tanq and bombay and have not tried the Van Gogh, you are in for a real treat. Smooth as silk. To me the difference is night and day, but you really have to enjoy those botanical. 95 points on spectator.

The link didn't work for me either, but try searching for "Van Gogh" in their search box. That'll work.

HAHA, I guess I should read clearly before I reply. Yes, the Van Gogh is great, the sad fact is that I go through it soo quickly.

No, I will still drink my van Gogh, or Tang 10. I just go through at least half a bottle a week, so it sucks.
