So my girlfriend busted up my truck after losing control on the ice we have here in Washington State...

The damage includes the following:

Destroyed LR brushguard and bumper
Broken Headlight
Tore off rear driver side door handle and dent in door
Broken passenger alpine window
dent in passenger door

She ran over the following:
A stop sign
A fence
A tree

So I'm looking to replace the front bumper with the 2003/4 ARB bumper...

My question is this...I was told the bumper will bolt up to my 2002 Disco with slight modification....

Does anyone here have experience with what that modification consists of?

Thanks,

Nik

x2 on the RTE

At least with the RTE you can be fairly assured that if your woman drives the truck again you won't have to replace the bumper.

Meh, theres always other ones skippy. haha

Besides, its not that you need to get rid of your girlfriend, just never let her or anyone else drive your Disco!

Sucks to deal with repairs, even if it gives you an excuse to upgrade, it still sucks

x3.... The ARB will not hold up like you think.... I have seen them bend.. I was highly disappointed...... My factory push bar( Continetal Divided edition) helldn up a 1,000 times better..... RTE is the way to go!

The ARB is a big turd on the D2s because of the crush cans. The bumper will rotate with the slightest angle up or down. I had one on my D2 and ditched it less than a year later for the RTE slim/brush bar. The ARB also has a terrible approach angle.

I like my ARB. A lot. I've hit it pretty hard a few times, and haven't bent it, broken it, or set off my airbags. I've even used it to pull down a few hundred feet of fenceposts, with no signs or wear or damage. I have the '99-'02 bumper on my '00 D2. What does the '03-'04 bumper have that mine doesn't? Do you just want the foglight holes?

Sorry to hear about the accident, though. I met up with a guardrail last winter, while driving on ice. That's when I got my ARB too.

arbs are ok, most of us losers around here like RTE's it's not because they are sexy, allow for better approach angle and are stronger... it's because we push them hard and they hold.

I think the TJM is better than the ARB.

And there differences to accomodate the different grille/headlight styles They don't mix and match well

Definitely stay away from the ARB trash. Even if you went to another factory stock bumper, it would hold up better than ARB junk. lol. Seriously RTE, scorpion racing, TJM, almost anything else, but not ARB.

I've been really happy with my ARB too. It has taken a beating without any damage whatsoever. The RTE's are pretty nice though.
