So the dealer has scheduled me for service on the drivers side vent. They say they cannot do anything about the cruise control that isn't anywhere near smooth... My '89 Pathfinder had a cruise control that could get me to the moon, but LR can't seem to figure out the idea of making it a nice experience to turn the cruise on when on a long trip.
Anyway, it has been over 90 here the past few days, and along with the drivers side vent not working I am pretty disapointed in how the AC is performing. I basically have to have it on full fan and recirculate for more than a half hour before it starts to feel like a normal temp in the car. Even then, the air coming out of the vents isn't actually cold like it should be. I drove the '94 disco yesterday and the AC works fine on that, I actually had to turn the fan and the temp down to stay warm enough on a 90+ day! I don't think the AC has ever been serviced on the '94.
Are they going to tell me that the AC is a wear item, and it won't qualify for warantee service? it has just over 19k miles on it, I would think the AC in a modern car could last for more than a few years.
