Long time since I’ve been on here, but figured I’d come back and share some useful info.
Im sure many / some / none of you are familiar with the quality issues of flat tappet lifters - for example:
(those are what I purchased direct from crower BTW and sent to Powell to be re-faced).
Well, you can actually purchase genuine GM lifters, and swap out the caps (cups?) in the top, and get pretty much the best quality lifters that are an assured fitment into the RV8.
And here’s a video of the physical inspection of the GM lifter (before I modified it).

oh, and I don’t have a disco anymore, but still abuse the ever loving life out of a 3.9 on the track in a 1980 Rover 3500.
