I'm not sure about this but I don't think the ATS's will hold up well to the Disco's weight. I considered them when I was looking and when I looked at some of the customer comments, I noticed that the guys who had them on Disco's were wearing through them rather quickly. I ended up going with the BFG AT/KO's.

Oh ok. Then I'm not sure. I haven't seen very many Rovers with the Wrangler series tires except for the MTR's. Even the Defenders. Most of the Defenders I see around here are all running BFG's whether it's the mud tire or the AT's.
Goodyear ATs are worthless unless you are gonna do almost exclusively road driving. go with the BFG AT/KO, i ran these on my Jeep and they are on my Disco currently. great tire, on and off road.

And they last forever. I have 31k on mine and they have only worn 2/16" off from new. They will last an easy 60k.
EDIT: I am talking about BFG ATs. Good tires--I have been very happy with them; they don't do great in the mud but I wasn't expecting them to.

I have had those, they do last a long time but the GY seemed a little more aggressive than the BFG
I see the ATS's on a number of non-Rovers around here but by far it's mostly BFG AT's around here. Some of the ATS folks swear by them though.

they aren't. find some comparative reviews and you'll see the Goodyear performs poorly in just about every category. the BFG on the other hand has been at or near the top of the AT division for a while. Goodyear makes a good MT, but their AT's suck. and to echo Ducati, i've put 60K on a set of BFGs before, the wear great and last longer than what they are rated for mileage wise.
