If you pulled somebody out of the mud to the right, then had to turn around, how did you end up with your front end towards the water? You can tell us what really happened...

A three point turn. I turned to my right (the pictures left) and pulled to close to the shoreline before I was going to back up, to turn right again, so I could be completely turned around (you would see my rear bumper in the picture if I did successfully turn around)

And no, the blinkers were not flashing. Just to be safe, I did pull the ECU, and there was some water in it, but barely any. None that actually came out of the hole. I only saw it once I took it apart, and now its sitting on my table airing out.

Not so fast there....

Who's the chick driving your truck? I'm guessing letting her drive had something to do with your truck ending up in a lake.

I now understand why you want to run without doors.. So you can jump out before the bitch sinks.. Too bad you failed at driving it into the lake to begin with.. Ed and Justin can teach you how to do that..

:banghead: :banghead:

So letting the ECU dry out and hooking it all back up in the morning should do the trick? And thanks for the tips. I really didnt think it got wet at all. If you hadn't told me to do so, it would have never been pulled.

Edit: And as you all may notice, the doors are on the truck.

At the dealership

wow, I like my 95 even more. I didn't think there was anything on a D1 that required the dealer other than that damn airbag light and key fobs

Take out all of your relays too. I had some water ingress after a bad stereo install. The guy punched a huge grommet on the firewall in so he could run wires from the battery and never re-installed the grommet. This resulted in water cascading in during a water crossing that soaked my relays. After a day in the greenhouse the relays dried out and she fired right up. Oh, and stay away from the water. you got lucky. It looks like you could have gotten hypo-thermia if you had gone in with the truck. And what a douche! He left after you helped him out? Good luck with the rover

BWAHAHAHAHAHHAHA.

Looks like a Hipster to me.

I would listen to Justin when he tells you how to dry out your truck, I've seen plenty of post where his truck was sunk worse than yours.
