The discussion on the Defender forum got me thinking. Has anyone heard of putting air in a Series truck? How much different is the bulkhead to the Defenders? Hot rodders have been putting air in old cars for years, why not the series? I really want to make my Series a daily driver but Texas summers are HOT.

I've seen it on two trucks. One came from Malaysia I think. Not sure what the other was.

I'm sure you can get the hot rod kit to work with enough effort.

The defender bulkhead and series bulkhead differ in details, but are similar. The holes through the bulkhead are much different though, so buying a system for a defender doesn't mean it will just 'fit' a series.

Hot rod air or Vintage air. Go for the Land cruiser bronco versions. they had a nice skinny Dash. Also the setup for a Jeep (yuck) YJ might work from the looks of them, they are similar to the Defender units, just alot cheaper.
As i will be running a 6.2L Diesel, i should be able to hook up something and i think i will. With the heat this summer in VA, Aircon was a must.
