How well are those LR rain deflectors working? What mount is on the rear tire for the hi-lift pictured? Meant to add: that's some low mileage... congrats!

I don't really like rain deflectors in general, but they seem to fit well. I will try to take pics of the hi-lift mount. It attaches to the spare tire mount and is rectangular bar stock w/ 2 bolts.

Cool, thanks. I'm curious if it even helps prevent rain from coming in... it seems that while driving, rain will move from the windshield to the side windows and the angle/vacuum creates a mini whirlwind of water that just swirls in place... if my window is cracked at all... water just flies in... I wonder if that mount is a SafariGard one.

Exactly the color combination I would have chosen ( silver with beige interior). 2004, low mileage, lifted winch.....I envy you right now........O.K, I'm done :).

On the bitching side, since I really like your truck, If you're gonna start a thread introducing your rig, you could have at least posted better pictures of it !!!!

The issue is...THIS IS THE TECH SECTION!

We have a GENERAL section for this type of stuff. It makes searching for technical information more difficult when you get bombarded with introductions and "hey look at my new truck" stuff. Just remember folks, TECH is for TECH. :)

It IS a nice truck with sweet low miles, though.

I'm turning it into a tech subject by asking questions related to the performance of said "rain reflectors" and hi-lift mount...

You're giving this guy and/or me shit yet there are threads such as "lets see your RTE bumper" or "I need pics to make a decision on X"... posted in the tech section... wtf is the difference? I don't see you bitching in those?

If you take a minute to read all the shit in the "Discovery Tech" section it is clear that we're far past the point of only posting tech questions in here... its turned into a "Discovery section" so thanks for "policing" the forum.

Okay... I have lurked on this site long enough to know that this is a rough crowd, and I feel like a part of the group now that I have received my first well-deserved ration of Sh*t! In addition to the other questions on my original post, I will ask the following:

From my extensive searches, I have not come to any conclusions about sliders. I see that there are no frame-mounted sliders available commercially, and many of the sill mounted ones tend to bend into the door or crush the sill, from what I have read here. So, what is the best solution? Feel free to bash away that I need to search!

Cheers,
Chuck
