What about all of the other pieces that will fall off and break clips the first time that they touch dirt?

Those tires belong on a Honda. Was that a CRV in the picture?

let's see how they attach. looks good, though.

I think that they compliment the LR3 angles and lines also. I think you need to post more pictures showing how they attach. How are they designed?

EDIT:Are they made just like your DI and DII sliders? (I read the site.)

The sliders are built similar to our D1 and D2 sliders. They utilize a 2" x 4" main tube and are 4.5" wide from the sill. They mount using factory mounting points on the side and bottom of the sill. There is a total of 13 M8 bolts holding each side in place. We were able to design them so that there are no modifications required to the vehicle to moun the sliders which means it is very easy to return to stock should you decide to. It is as simple as detaching the factory sill trim and installing the sliders, takes about an hour to install.

I will get the page up on the website tonight or tomorrow and will refer everyone there for additional pictures of the installation. I will post when it is uploaded.

As far as additional protection for underneath we will be developing a skid plate for the fuel tank as well as the air tank and air pump. These will be complimentary to the sliders and modular so that they can be added in stages.

I would be very interested in gas tank skid plates!

Do you have any photos of your sliders from down low, even with the height of them? I like the tapered ends, but wonder about the cantilever force with those wide projections and only attaching to the body? Is this the first set? (if so, nice fab work!) Have you beat on them yet?

Any to ward off any DWEBBERS naysaying, I am not being critical or competitive, just curious. Looks like a fair amount of thought went into them. Anyone who takes the time to make an off road accessory for the LR3 gets a big thumbs up from me!

THis is the first set but we used some prior knowledge from another set of custom sliders on a friends LR3 along with what we ahve learned from the D1 and D2 sliders. The custom LR3 sliders have been beat on pretty hard and they are almost as wide as the production sliders. These are also very similar to how our other sliders attach as on the D1 we have a bracket that covers the outside and bottom of the sill and then is through bolted to the sill using backing plates. We have bounced the trucks off of this design pretty hard in testing without any issues as well as used them to jack the truck high enough to reseat a dislocated spring with relocation cones in place.

As far as why so wide we have several reasons. The first is that with small kids they act as great steps for them as well as a good foothold when getting into a roof rack. The second main reason is they help to push the truck around obstacles without getting into the body and also act as a good location for jacking whenever you need to lift the side of the truck.

If there is interest we could also develop a narrower version at either 2.5" or 3" wide from the sill.

nice work! you can sell some of these at the rally for sure...plan to build up a few sets and tow them with you in atrailer, price them as 'installed'( I bought my rear bumper at last years rally)..

..may allow LR3 owners to run the 5 rated trails and for the daring maybe even some 6's without the usual busted air system crap

I commend you! offering a custom width spec is following the RTE we build what you want concept, I wish you the best with what appears to be a well thought out and executed business plan!

My only suggestion is to host higher definition and large detailed images it may help boost sales

Is it just me or do those tires just look stupid little on that LR3?
I'm the owner of the LR3 - I'm very happy with the sliders so far. So far I've beat on them from the side more than the bottom, but they've held up great.

And yes, those tires (stock size) looked wimpy and small, but they came with it when I bought it two months ago. I rectified that last week, here it is with Zeon LTZ's.
