SOLD!!!!! Anyone else interested PM me or email....

Hey folks!
I have a mini GPS tracking unit (data logger) with blue tooth to boot. I brought these in for testing but the extra one is just that -- extra.
It comes with a USB cable and software and it does a good job of tracking for about 8-10 hours.
It re-charges attached to the usb port of a PC (or hub) in about an hour or two.
When your done with your travels you can download the tracks to your pc and even sync photos to specific locations with the aid of a small button on the unit. Then you can see your entire track along with clickable icons that allow you to see each photo along the path.
When your done you can even display via google earth and it will show you sattelite images of where you went.

The system also tells you the speed you traveled along the path, altitude, etc.

I have one unit readily available - tested but still new and can import as many as you guys might want if you want to do a group buy.

Cost for the unit shipped to the lower 48 is: $85

post and pm - or post and email - first "Ill take it" gets it (with funds sent of course)
Paypal is fine.

Thanks,

Scott

could I get some pictures of the actual device? Logging a few legs of our tour would be pretty sweet...

EDIT: are these specific and detailed enough to log ATV trails?

Sure -- its a little keychain-like unit....
Just stick it to the dash with some velcro and your golden.

Oh - I Forgot - this unit can come with a car charge cord too! (say $10?)

If you have a view of the sky good enough to find the sattelites you can take them anywhere.... Google earth will show you all the terrain, sattelite images, and any roads.
Its relatively accurate too...
You can set it to take a position from 1 sec to something like a minute - the more you take the more accurate your track.

Also -- if you use google maps you can even tilt the satellite photo and actually see your track up the side of a rock pile!
These are neat little devices. I am planning on selling them as part of a offline vehicle tracking system for small commercial fleets.
I just thought that this forum would really love them...

Dont forget this is blue tooth as well - so it can be used as a bluetooth attached GPS unit for a handheld PDA or phone.

Edited - cant be used as a PC GPS receiver - PDA and phone via bluetooth only

Well I have never tested that function - however can be used as a gps receiver via blue tooth or through the USB so I have been told.
Something to do with "gmouse" - again I havent tried it but its supposed to work as a gps receiver for available software packages.

Edit: Im sending a request to the manufacturer to clarify this....
Edit 2: I have only half an answer - they didnt know what MS Streets was... Stay Tuned...
Edit 3 -- FINAL: According to the manufacturer this paticular unit can ONLY be used as a GPS receiver for a handlheld device or a phone and typically via bluetooth. There is another unit that will work as a gps reciever for a PC and should work with MS Streets but I dont have that unit. - Scott
