I'm thinking about getting a Magellan 700 with the window suction mount. My discoII has a heated windshield, which I never use. I'm curious, however, as to whether or not the embedded heat coils in the windshield would interfere with the reception? Do I need to get a separate magnetic antenna attached to the roof? Before I go out and fork out $$$ for a GPS, I would appreciate some advice/feedback from others who have had GPS installed on their discos. Thanks.

the units stock antenna is adequate, through the windshiled my reception was around 15', through the sunroof it was a lil more, but when i added the external antenna my reception is now within 7'. i use its speedometer more than my dash cuz its more accurate. it really made a difference in the woods. i dont loose signals.
