I've got a neighbor getting ready to ride the entire trail. For some reason, I'd never heard of it but now that I'm doing some reading, it sounds like it needs to go on my bucket list (for some period of time when I'm free for about a month). Has anyone here done it or know anything about it?

That was The Great Buffet Trail.
There was an article in the old Nat Geo Adventure mag that showed a couple doing it in a Wrangler. I used to have a link but have since lost it.

Tom Collins of Camel Trophy fame scouted the original route that Land Rover used for the Great Devide Expedition in 1989. I was fortunate to be part of the Land Rover Technicians Expedition that Tom guided and followed many parts of that route in 1990. Bad ass trip that I would love to do again.61rover said:
