Dumb question but anyways, I want to put some grip tape on my sliders for when its wet. Should I just use skateboard grip tape or do they make something that stands up to the sun better?

They sell some non-slip plastic self adhesive stuff at good boat supply places that comes in a couple of colors, looks great, and lasts excellent- used it on a couple of slick when wet places on the wrecker truck- works great and has put up w a whole lot for years and still there looking good................
comes in rolls-but if i recall right its not super cheap-but what good is?......[this stuff made for high sun and enviornment exposed boat decks-not skateboards]

the pre-cut strips for ladders works great, and can be found at most hardware stores. 3 years in the texas heat and none have peeled up.

where i'm at right now, duh...
sean's got it. I got a set of various sized grip tape sections at lowes made for ladders. I put some on my rear ladder that fit perfectly. I also put a long piece on my rear bumper after i got tired of slipping off of it. All of them have held up nice over the past few years.

I just painted mine with textured bedliner...the matte finish looks good, and it's held up to 4+ years of off-roading and bad weather.

I tried the boat stuff and it didn't work out well for me-perhaps it was the store. What has worked great for large stretches is some tape I found in the RV section (I don't know that the 1/2 an aisle counts as a 'section' but that's where it was) of WalMart...it comes in pretty long lengths and has held up well on my sliders and rear bumper-the ladder strips not as much.
