I'm not sure why you would title this "guns are". The gun is not at fault, it is the piece of shit behind it.

It is beyond me how anybody could shoot a baby, I have a 13 month old. This just makes me sick. I would happily serve justice on this piece of human garbage.

He could easily have stabbed the baby, bashed it with a bat, used a slingshot, a bow, or just shaken it. Human children are extremely fragile. If the mother is like many of the mothers I know, she'd have fought like hell to protect her child, but an adult female seldom stands a chance against two armed teenage males, regardless of the armament in question.

Would these pieces of human garbage have been able to do what they did without a gun? Yes. Would she have been able to stop them if they didn't have a gun? Probably not. Would she have been able to stop them if she'd been armed with a firearm? Also probably not, but she'd have had a chance.
