Gutter Trim Removal

Has anyone removed the black finisher trim on the gutters (drip rail) ? I am having the roof resprayed and some rust removed around the alpine windows. Before it goes in I want to remove the roof rack and the black trim. The headliner is already out, as well as all the interior trim around the alpine windows.
Does the black trim just clip on? Do I need a tool to remove it? Anyone have any experience with this?

I don't know if you can get it off without damaging it, but it's cheap anyway.... find the clips and pry them off from the bottom of the guttter and then the plastic pries off the same way... pull the bottom out and then slide it up and off of the gutter.

on a DII, very easy to do. took them off last weekend in about 10 minutes. get some heat on there to make them a little more pliable and then just start easing it off. on a DI, not too sure.

Thanks, I'll check it out this weekend. Might call the local LR dealer and check the price of parts before I start. :D

I just got off the phone with their parts department and got the same quote $40 and change per side, LR McAllen has the same price, the cheapest was LR San Antonio at $29 per side, wich is where Im gonna order them from I guess!

I went to double check my reciept just to make sure...

I got part number: 0AWR1031PMA - Drip Rail, S

$19.68

from Land Rover Austin.

It was the long piece that covers the whole side, not all the pieces for one side.
