Hello everyone,
I havent been onsite for quite some time, and I wanted to take a moment to wish you all well on this holiday season.
I must admit that it's driving me a bit bonkers, trying to remain non-secular, and politicaly correct. (trust me when I say that in person, I am rarely either of those things!)
Of course I am STILL working on my Discovery, which is why I thought of you fine folks to begin with.
It wandered through my tiny brain that no other automobile I know garners the same "love/hate relationship" that Land Rovers enjoy.
I am also a HUGE Volkswagen fan, but the loyalties to that name brand are different.
I have found through my many years roaming this planet that if you love a Volkswagen, you LOVE a Volkswagen, and conversly, if you hate it, you REALLY hate it.
But, our wonderful Rovers, when running properly, give us such pride, we lavish praise upon them as if they might be some form of omnipotent vehicle...however, on the occasions when they hiccup, stumble, or fail all-together we seem quite capable of forgetting our love-affair for a while, and we swear like sailors at the objects of our mutual affection, and throw our favorite tools to the furthest reaches of our collective properties.
I promise you all, I have never been the owner of a vehicle that pissed me off so completely before, and yet, I cant turn my back on it either...I will continue to scrape up the money when I can, and pure it loyaly right into the machine I have spent days yelling at.
In short my good friends, I hope you each can count the blessings we have in our dear little trucks, even when we the only reason it seems we are fixing them, is so we might be able to launch them of a cliff somewhere!
