Bumper looks awesome! When I am ready I will be going to Denny for my bumper. Best looking on the market and strong.

I'd consider it if it retained the factory lighting and reflectors, didn't have the logo cut out, and didn't have the d-ring mounts. I still think those are a liability.

I'm sure you could retain them of you want. The logo isnt cut out it's a black sticker. And obviously he would make it without d ring mounts. I'll probably still use my hitch

Robert,

The factory lights won't fit and I'm not a fan of logos cut into bumpers either, that is a vinyl sticker on the rear. What are your concerns with the D-ring mounts? They are not just lugs face welded onto 3/16" plate, they are 1"x2"x7" welded on all applicable sides that usually works out to around 15 to 20 inches of welded surface. The lugs on Jakes bumper are new for us and they are wider at the face and are shaped like a mushroom but typically they look like the photo below.

It's the bumper mounting points, not the shackles mount welds that I don't think are strong enough

Denny, you ever come up with a swing design for the RRC rear bumper? I still want to add that feature.

Todd,

I think your bumper could be sleeved to accept the carrier, I just need to figure out what to secure it with in the closed position. I'm not a big fan of the latches that are currently out there and I have used a Mil-Spec T handle for an LR3 tire carrier we built that I believe would work great for the Classic.

Here's a video of it operating.

I agree with you on that, that's what the lower bar that attaches to the frame rails are for. They offer some additional support and rigidity, The photo below is from our DII bumper, but is very similar to what all of our rear bumpers are now getting.

As far as leaving the shackles on you are only "that guy" if you wax them like some of the Rubicon or H3 owners I see around town.

How thick are the bars you used to tie into the forward hitch mounts? They look beefy. It almost looks like the stock bars, but straightened.

Those in the photo are the stock bars that have been straightened. The bars that come with the bumpers are cut from 3/8" plate.
