I replaced fuel pump, fuel filter ECU (Fuel computer) Plugs, cap / rotor, wires, battery, fresh gas, dry gas, Swaped tps, Temp sensor out of my classic, also switched and tested my Air Flow Mass unit on the classic and it ran fine.
Took it to a local shop - they looked at it for three hours $150.00 and couldn't read it (only 1996 or newer) so off to Rover for the big bucks.... they have already told me that if my check engine light wasn't on that no codes would appear????? I question that and my check engine light never came on so am I as they say S--T out of Luck???
I have spark (blue), Timing, Gas too much it seems to be soaking plugs and flooding truck, don't know about air that is a hard. Will not start with gas off - With Starting fluid - Nothing!!!!
This has happens same time each year.... seemed when the temp fell below 30 which happened on the night my truck died. My truck was running flawless until I was searching for my dog at slow speed for about an hour 5 miles an hour after the dog was hit - I pulled off to the side off the road to talk to someone and put the car in park and then it sputtered and died, it started again hard(wanting to stall) when I put it in gear it was hardly enough power to pull it into the garage and I had it floored if I took my foot off the pedal it would almost stall. Once off the street it never started again.
I am at a total loss and so are the local boys... Rover got pissed when I said I just wanted the codes - that I had parts from my two other rovers and have worked on my own rovers since 1995 - I just didn't want them putting $1000 IN new parts into a 10 year old truck.
I would appreciate any help you have to offer -
Kyle I tried your suggestion in an earlier post cutting fuel off cranking, turning gas on - nothing....
Other post have no way of testing Amplifier Sensor - hoping rover can tell in morning.
Thanks
Robbyn
