So I just got my D3 activation from the uk for my hawkeye and I was able to do the service reset, so now it won't bother me about it. Does anyone know how many miles it takes to come back on? Or is it based on how a drive it? I'm pretty sure my Acura would give me more miles if they were all highway.

Or 6 months, whichever occurs sooner. If the SII makes adjustments for your driving pattern (stop-n-go traffic versus highway miles), they are minor. You can expect the reminder to start popping up about 1000 miles or 30 days prior to your next scheduled service.

Thanks!

I'm guessing it's been a while since the last service reset. Prior to resetting it, the thing would blink -1000 or so and then switch to -90000. So I'm guessing 90,000 miles since the last time the reminder was turned off?

A while, yes... ;) How many miles do you have on your LR3, anyway? As I recall, the SII flashes the days till service due first (with a little clock face icon next to the number) and then the miles. The minus sign in front of either numbers means you are overdue by that many days / miles. So yeah, I believe your SII maxed out since nobody ever bothered resetting it.
