What are most people using for heavy duty rear axles these days? After 6 years of abuse my Rovertracks finaly broke. Are GBR and Ashcroft all that are available?

corey,
My rear were from gbr, they were the only thing original on that truck when i sold it several months back. That being said i have no idea if they are the same today as they were 10ish years ago.

The fronts were ashcroft and youve seen my inability to tread lightly! In other words the ashcroft half shafts should be fine.

Mine are GBR. Used when I got them 6-7 yrs ago.Still good after years of thrashing. My fronts are Rovertracks. Some occasional popping when tight turn.Know they are of business.Driving them until they blow.

my dad pulled his 15 year or so old GBRs out a few months back. I would say his rig has seen as much abuse as any rig out there. Anyways, we had a good laugh when we found both sides to be massively twisted, but not broken at all. So we just threw them back in and all is still well after a few trail runs since then.

My RoverTracks rears are twisted but have held up so far. I'll go Ashcroft if they snap.
